Questions & Concerns
What is counselling?
Counselling is a therapeutic process which involves a variety of talking therapies. Counselling does not offer advice, however it aims to assist you in gaining a better understanding of yourself and others and deal with emotional issues you might experience. Counselling is a collaborative and non-judgmental process which takes place within a safe, warm and supportive environment.
How can I contact you if I have more questions or if I would like to schedule an assessment session?
You can contact me via email, leave a message on this platform, or reach me on 07827165856. Please leave your contact details in case I can’t take your call. I always aim to get back to you within 48 hours.
What is the frequency and duration of a counselling session?
Every session lasts for 50 minutes and takes place at the same time and date every week. Counselling sessions usually run on a weekly basis, however the frequency of them will be agreed collaboratively on our assessment session.
What can I expect from my first session?
Your first session is going to be an assessment session where we will get to know each other. In this session, you will have the opportunity to discuss in detail with me what are the issues you are struggling with and how these affect different areas in your life. I will also assess your needs and I will explain to you how we can work further together.
What can counselling support me with?
- Everyday worries and stresses
- A specific problem which troubles you (low self-esteem, phobias, sleep issues, anger issues, career difficulties, poor decision making)
- Traumatic, difficult or distressing life events like relationship difficulties, loss and bereavement
- A mental health condition (depression, anxiety)
How can I pay?
You can pay either by cash or via a bank transfer at the end of your session.
